(Learfield) Federal agriculture officials are reducing their estimates of this year's corn crop.

The USDA is projecting the smallest corn crop in at least four years. Ag experts are blaming wet weather for delaying planting and cutting the number of acres planted.

The expected per-acre yield is also much lower. A follow-up report is scheduled for release on June 28th.
