As the Legislative Session breaks for Easter, state lawmakers remain far apart on education funding.

Despite agreeing on the need to improve public education in the state, House DFLers are calling for $1.2 billion in spending while Senate Republicans have budgeted $307 million for education.

Governor Tim Walz is eying around $880 million in education spending. The session will resume on April 23rd.
