For the first time in 8 years, there is a confirmed case of the measles in Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Health believes an unvaccinated person contracted the disease while in Israel, where the infection is common. Health officials are working with the infected person and those who may have encountered them.
Officials say there is no threat to the public. Iowa has become the 20th state to have a positive case of the measles.
