National Weather Service Warns of Flooding

The National weather service is warning the area to gear up for flooding Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures rise.
This warmth will result in rapid snow melt across the area, with some locations likely to lose much of the current snow on the ground by Thursday. In addition, periods of rain are expected, with amounts up to an inch currently forecast.
With the melting snow and rainfall, flooding is likely into late week, especially along the tributaries of the Mississippi River south of I-90. The break-up of ice on rivers could also heighten the risk of flooding.
A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for the entire area Wednesday through Thursday night.
Those living near waterways are encouraged to monitor conditions this week and be prepared to take action if flooding either develops or is forecast to develop.
