(Learfield) The research director and deputy communications director for Minnesota's D-F-L has apologized for a Monday tweet.
It's the second time William Davis has had to backtrack on a controversial tweet. Davis posted a response to another tweet about the new U-S-S Minneapolis-St. Paul's launching by calling it a "murder boat."
Governor Tim Walz said he was appalled by the tweet. The Governor went on to say there is no place for that kind of comment.
He deleted that later and apologized to a Navy veteran. He was suspended for a week last fall when he said Republicans should be led to the guillotines after election day.
