Winona Middle School Technology Integration Specialist Jen Snook has been awarded the WAPS Dare to Dream grant.
Snook will receive $5000 to help integrate technology into a student’s learning experience. Snook proposed using virtual and augmented reality to help students become immersed in their content.
The technology allows students to do things like walk through and animal cell or walk the great wall of China. Students can also view objects, such as the human heart from a 3-D prospective.
“Teachers and students alike seek out authentic experiences and find it is more important than ever to discover new and engaging ways to learn and teach,” said Snook.
