Two separate grants, totaling $646,169, are available to low-income Winona homeowners looking to make much needed improvements to their homes.
Nick Larson, Winona Community Development Specialist, said the grants can cover projects that improve roofs, siding, insulation and window replacement. Larson said the rehabilitation projects can save homeowners utility expenses and raise property values.
The eligible areas are an 8 block area from Hamilton St. To Laird St. And from Front St. To 5th St. The other eligible area is a 16 block span from Hamilton St. To Liberty St. And from 5th to king St.
