Cleveland Brown, a 22-year-old Winona man, was arrested after applying green spray paint to a dozen houses and garages on Winona’s east side on Sunday.

Winona Police say they found Brown in the area after getting a description from one of the homeowners that saw Brown spraying their neighbor’s garage.

Brown was wearing a backpack when the officer approached him. He denied spray painting the houses, but the officer found he had green paint on his hands and the officer could hear the cans clanking in Brown’s backpack.

Brown had a warrant out for his arrest. Police are awaiting a property damage assessment.
