The PGA Tour makes a stop in the Twin Cities this week with the first-ever 3-M Open.
Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Tony Finau, Patrick Reed, and Bryson DeChambeau are among the big names taking part. Local golfers Tom Lehman and Tim Herron will also play in the tournament, which gets underway with Thursday's opening round at the T-P-C Twin Cities course in Blaine.
Featured playing groups for Thursday and Friday include Mickelson, Finau, and last week's tour winner Nate Lashley. Koepka and Reed will be joined by Kevin Na in a threesome.
DeChambeau will be joined by Charles Howell III and Keegan Bradley. Day will be grouped with Hideki Matsuyama and Corey Connors. There is a celebrity pro-am tournament tomorrow to help kick off the event.
A country music concert featuring the Zac Brown Band will happen on Friday night, with proceeds benefitting the 3-M Open Fund.
