(KWNO) The City of Winona is set to invest $315,000 in improvements for the Bandshell area.
That’s according to the city’s Capital Investment Program report. In the fiscal year 2021, the city would spend $30,000 on architecture for a new roof, updates on seating, and the grass area and install an irrigation system.
The rest of the funds would be spent on installing a new roof, plastering, and painting in the fiscal year 2022. The work is in preparation for the Bandshell’s centennial celebration set for 2024.
The City Council will hold an informational session about the report on Monday. The Winona Municipal Band will hold its final concert of the season there on Aug. 12.
