(Learfield) Officials say Minnesota’s April revenue topped projections by $489 million. A significant increase in individual income tax collections was the major reason.
Republican lawmakers say the report shows big tax increases proposed by Governor Tim Walz and House Democrats aren’t needed.
Lawmakers have until May 20th to passed a balanced budget to avoid a special session.
