(KWNO) Gov. Tim Walz signed an Executive Order that allows places of worship to reopen at 25% capacity on May 27 Saturday.
The houses of worship must adhere to social distancing and health guidelines. The order also allows worship, weddings and funerals to resume.
The Walz administration crafted the order in partnership with faith leaders, according to a press release from the Governor's office.
The CDC recently changed health guidelines to allow in-person worship services. President Donald Trump deemed worship services essential and called on Governors to allow in-person services to resume on Friday.
