Despite there not being a confirmed case in Minnesota, state health officials are concerned following a near record-breaking outbreak of measles in the US.

There have been confirmed cases of measles in Iowa and Illinois. 22 states have had confirmed cases in 2019.

The state Health Department says measles can be deadly in some cases. The state says the safest measure to prevent the disease is to get vaccinated.
