(KNOX) Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has unveiled the third part of his Local Jobs and Projects plan for higher education facilities across the state.

The proposal seeks to invest 488-million dollars in higher education – including 447-million in bonding to maintain…upgrade…and modernize college campuses. Walz says outdated technology doesn’t just hold students back – it holds Minnesota back.

The governor says the list of proposed projects is not the Walz-Flanagan bonding bill - but one that Minnesotans have asked for.

Walz proposed 276 million dollars for affordable housing and 300 million for water infrastructure projects last week. The governor will unveil a plan for public safety projects later this week.
