The Salvation Army has announced it will no longer accept donations of used goods at its Thrift Store & Donation Center located at 1443 W. Service Drive in Winona. The store will continue to sell existing merchandise until it closes on Saturday, June 29.
The Salvation Army is very grateful to the patrons of this store and to those who have generously donated merchandise. However, the economic and competitive pressures have created barriers to financial sustainability resulting in the difficult decision to close the store.
The Salvation Army will continue to provide services, including help with utilities, food, housing, and other emergency needs through its Service Extension office. Individuals needing assistance are encouraged to contact this office at 651-746-3406 with inquiries or requests for emergency services.
