(KWNO) Former Winona State men’s basketball coach Mike Leaf died at the age of 58 Monday.
Leaf took the Warriors to three consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship games from 2006-2008 and won two of them. He also presided over a 57-game winning streak.
Leaf abruptly resigned in June of 2015 amid allegations he sexually assaulted a player. Leaf was never charged in the matter.
Services to remember Leaf are set for Thursday.
